So, Google and Eco-Mobius by ZTE is making a new project that aim to reduce waste of smartphones. They named their project as Project Ara. When people get done with their smartphone and it's time to replace it, usually because of a single reason. Maybe it's getting too slow, or they don't like the camera anymore or maybe the screen broke, and they throw out their entire phone even though the rest of the phone is perfectly fine. And that creates a lot unnecessary waste. So the Project Ara making a Smartphone concept is a sort of central motherboard or base that the rest of smartphone part will plug into it and they all fit together. Kinda like Lego. If someone decide that they don't like part of the smartphone or you want to change a certain thing, they don't have to throw out the whole phone, they can just remove and reattach the parts in the smartphone to create exactly what they want. Example if they want to upgrade the smartphone RAM, they just simply remove the RAM part and replace it with a new RAM with a higher memory.
So, with this project, hopefully the waste of smartphone can be reduce.
